You can without a doubt make huge gains, but you need to be able to take the swings. ETN – I’ve already featured Electroneum in the blog, this is going to be a big player due its aggressive marketing strategy, mobile mining experience, and ability to bring crypto to a wider audience. Using the extractor fan to push air through the miner is a good idea but it might not work so well on its own. I think it’s likely that some of the cool air might escape out of the various openings instead of passing right through, especially on the D3 and L3+ miners since they have that extra grille above the fans. I suspect that’s the main reason they have a front and rear fan.
I would also suggest that this is what you’d expect in any commodity ownership. I spent three to four years taking interest and gathering crypto before last winter’s events. I’ve written before about lesser altcoins and have seen coins rise and plummet for obvious reasons, bizarre reasons and reasons unknown.
However, looking further into the spec, it seems they’re also quite low performance, on a par with the S7 at best . I’ve looked into selling on Bittylicious a few times, but never gone much further than that because I’m not planning to sell any of my holdings yet. As far as I could tell, it looks like you need to apply to be a seller and you have to have a certain amount of Bitcoin, etc available for sale at all times, and be ready to respond quickly when you receive a purchase offer. If/when I do sell, I think I’d prefer to be able to choose how much to sell and just exchange it. It was a good phone but app support was dwindling so I gave up and bought her an Android phone in the end. If you’re not planning to replace the phone soon, you could get a cheapo second phone just for unsupported apps such as those.
I was going to order one and was invoiced but narrowly missed out while trying to work bank fees at their end to make sure I transfer enough money it was sold out. D3 is not that bad either, it did drop to £5/day in November with £3 running costs but now they do £10-15/day again on MRR most days. The dips in the graph does not always correspond with disconnects as I am getting a lot of dips without disconnects as well. It’s just the way pool calculates hashrate on submitted valid shares and not the actual work your rig is doing. That’s why the peaks show higher hashrrate than the rig could possibly do.
I think for the rest of the evening I need to test how the temps are effected with just I I only use stock intake fan without exhaust to estimate the possible effect of using Manrose intake fan and a second lower power exhaust fan. And also to test how it works on L3+ in terms of cooling and noise level. I did consider using blocks to build separate compartment in garage 2x2m and 2m high but that’s more than 2 pallets of blocks + delivery + mortar + job + door that all adds up plus it’s time consuming and a bit messy. Also will still need something to create ceiling for it. The roof and the doors are were the most of noise from garage is escaping, I don’t think it’s too much through brick wall.
After a patient year, many crypto enthusiasts were disappointed to see prices fail to repeat the jump they made back in Dec ’17 / Jan ’18. Plus, many who opted to jump on board did so on crests of waves, and felt that their prices fell often and never really jumped. It is worth noting that prices, as of the time of this posting, remain at four times their price in the year before.
Some people use arbitrage to their advantage all the time, making money trading the price differences. In fact that’s the mechanism that regulates prices between the exchanges. Whenever the prices differ substantially, from one exchange to another, traders will seize the arbitrage opportunity, pulling the prices back inline. Last couple of times when Bitmain releases new batch of miners with BCH payment only BCH prices goes up a lot due to increased demand, then slowly falls back.

Booth says they lost some ground amid a plethora of new users that the platform couldn’t handle. Before I talk about the trade I would like to mention efin which is a decentralised exchange from tokenpay. Registration is now open Click here to see my write up on Efin.
I sold some LTC a while back and it did ask if I wanted to be a regular LTC seller as apparently they don’t have enough, but ad-hoc is simple enough. Overall after dev fee and increased power consumption I am about £60/month better off now. No point flashing other 2 L3+s I have as hashing boards are more evenly matched on those so I would not gain anything, just loose 1.5% mining time in dev fee. Also, although cast will happily run both cards with one executable, it is definitely faster running one per card instead, by H/s for the same power consumption. Running two instances of cast reduces hash rate drop due to disconnects too as the cards hardly ever disconnect at the same time so even if one is idling, the other is still running.
I’m currently researching Raiden and might make a small investment in that one also. Mining is only very profitable in certain countries where electricity is very cheap, even free in some places. Also be cautious of people recklessly telling you to buy a certain coin, do your own research and make sure you fully understand what you’re buying before buying it. Yeah by replace, I meant replace as the top ranked cryptocurrency.
I just can not get it to go as fast as Cast whatever I do. Turning the intensity up just makes it crash eventually, and running multiple instances doesn’t help like it does with Cast. I have switched to OverdriveNTool for setting the clock settings because Wattman resetting them every crash got very tedious. Interestingly now the 580s are in there, disabling and re-enabling the Vegas after a reboot just blue screens the machine instantly which is quite annoying. I have no choice but to manually do the HBMCC switch in Wattman now.
My 1200% growth from ICO now looks like 900% at time of publishing this post, which I can more than live with. As I previously mentioned with ETN, it’s one to keep hold of for the future, and given it’s a new coin I’m impressed with it’s robustness during the biggest crash we’ve seen in the entire Cryptocurrency markets to date. I’m constantly looking for more opportunities, and will keep this blog up to date, sharing my opinions on cryptocurrency investments.
Merchants Matrix Review (
I’ve been mining BCH with the idea of at some point i can see me buying from Bitmain again and i’d like to discount that. Same as Ainars here, I usually rent my ASIC miners out on MRR, which seems to be slightly more profitable than NiceHash and other methods. They did make the announcement – 10% in February, and then more to follow. Pretty worthless for my 0.002 since it’ll never make the threshold for external payments so I’ll never see any of that, but if you had more you might get something back. So what and where are you kind folks mining, I have l3+ and s9’s coming and want to be prepared so can get them up and running as soon as they arrive. Here is XMR-stak with 0% dev fee if you want to give it a try.
Cryptopia says they’re hiring more support staff to handle the increasing number of users on its platform. This is a pro because they attributed some of the problems they’ve had in providing customer support to a staff shortage. Charting tools with features such as candlestick and volume. Users can also see the ratio of buyers to sellers of a certain coin. Turned out to be a good move as the cryptopia hack happened not long after. (I still have some ETN in there but all my tokenpay was out.
- Which seems to out perform most the calculators but it does vary earnings on how well the pool does.
- Sometimes I get a lot of them sometimes none, I did notice that MRR Amsterdam server sometimes gives a lot of disconnects, switched to de server and problem went away.
- Hynix usually are not that great and Elpida is more case of the luck could be great or could be poor.
- You can also buy modded BIOSes on e-bay where you send yours and they send you back modded file but not sure if it is worth it.
- The launch of the mobile miner is equally exciting for mobile operators.
- I personally am invested in Bitcoin, Ethereum and OmiseGo but there are many different coins.
It seems to me that the excessive fees of bitcoin is more likely to ruin it as a viable currency than any government shenanigans. It costs me two day’s mining effort just to move anything I’ve earned, let alone spend it. It might reduce the global hashing power a little too, decreasing difficulty while increasing profitability. Although I doubt some of the larger Chinese mining operations will give up that easily.
Their customer support is non-existent, they have lot’s of issues with platform security and fees are too high. It is designed entirely for mass adoption, aiming to be the largest cryptocurrency by user numbers during 2018. It has signed agreements in place with mobile telecoms providers giving Electroneum access to over 100m users.
Cryptopia Cons
Given Cryptopia is in my opinion an absolute shambles, I’ve decided to start mining ETN. One potential problem I’ve just thought of with that extractor fan is the air temperature. According to the spec sheet it has a maximum running temperature of 40 degrees.
The coin is only available on Cryptopia at the moment, though it is set to be available on forthcoming exchanges such as NEXT exchange. While Cryptopia was down, we received messages from Crypto Buyers https://cryptolisting.org/ Club UK visitors explaining that they had been scammed trying to buy Electroneum on eBay and forums. Thus, we are relieved to see Electroneum being available once again on a mainstream exchange.
Our 2022 Transparency Report has landed
Touch device users, explore by touch or with swipe gestures. I can’t get the app to anything at all, is there a rough estimate when it will be working? My advice is if you want to get involved in crypto then it’s better to just buy the crypto with the money you would have spent on the hardware, assuming you’re an average Joe like the rest of us. Bitcoin and ethereum are not in competition, they are totally different and aim to fill different demands, it’s like saying Python will replace Java. Yeah I agree electroneum is going to blow up soon thanks to momentum trading. Personally I think Monero is the best one to invest in because it’s so secure, new start up currencies are just not predictable.
- Nobody knows for sure, it does support several algorithms so the hashing power will spread and migrate between several networks.
- Considering the potential growth for ETN, mining as much as possible and top up my current wallet makes good sense, so if you’re interested in this keep an eye out for this blog post later this week/early next.
- People who write reviews have ownership to edit or delete them at any time, and they’ll be displayed as long as an account is active.
- What some governments seem yet to realise is that resisting the rise of cryptocurrencies will hurt their economies, not save them.
- That’s quick for end of January batch, I am still waiting for the one that was originally start of January, than changed 10-20th December after I ordered it, Bitmain now says it will be despatched around 2nd January.
- Users can also see the ratio of buyers to sellers of a certain coin.
It would still start and and be accessible with Teamviewer but nothing on display using onboard VGA or DVI to VGA converter from one of cards. Did not try HDMI or DP as it meant moving the whole setup, just flashed the old BIOS back blindly and onboard VGA is working again but not sure if it will take 6 discrete GPU’s or if it will work well with Vega with older BIOS. Still even if it only works with 5 RX580 it seems cost effective considering it has onboard CPU and I do not need any risers, also with 5 GPU’s I should be able to get away with just a single 850W PSU so that’s a bonus as well. I am currently looking at Garlicoin and Srypt N algorithm. I am only trialling it on one RX580 card on Microserver at the moment but following calculations it should earn about $3.80/day in Garlicoin. I did some tinkering with xmr-stak yesterday as well when I put my two 580s in the Vega rig.
4-5 months ROI at that price so I’m sure they’ll still sell plenty of them. Personally, I’d suggest using something other than BTC if you’re buying other currencies with it as the network fees for BTC are crazy for small transactions, whereas LTC for example is much less. LTC can be a little hard to come by on Bittylicious though.
VMI enables data delivery In Excel and Interactive PDF formats with over 15+ Key Market Indicators for your market. I personally am invested in Bitcoin, Ethereum and OmiseGo but there are many different coins. I only invest in coins I fully believe in and understand.
CFTC Goes After Digitex, Crypto Daily TV 03/10/2022
Had a look at Revolut, looks good, in terms of cryptocurrencies prices are not bad you cannot send any to or from your Revolut account, you can only buy, hold and sell what What is BankEth you have bought on Revolut. Hopefully they will introduce external transfers soon as well. Price is anybody’s guess and it’s unknown if there will be minimum order qty.
Would not buy using business account though as I don’t think you get any protection as business buyer. Most of the crypto exchanges work solely in crypto, apart from a few like Coinbase but then they only have four currencies. I already have some Sia that I bought a while ago (I think it has a lot of potential — think ‘decentralised/distributed ‘Dropbox’). It has quite a high coin supply so it’s never going to be hundreds of Dollars, but I think it could maybe get as high as $1 some day.
When you transfer to/from Revolut, the bank just sees it as a regular bank transfer from another bank account that you own. Garlicoin price has gone down by 50% in last 2 days so it’s less profitable to mine but difficulty is down as well by 25%. Not sure if it’s a coin worth ‘hodling’ or just a joke and exchanging small qties for other currency is probably not that profitable. It does look like more of a joke but then look at Dogecoin – it was supposed to be a joke and was pretty much worthless for a while.
